Upcoming Fundraising Events

The Otonabee Minor Hockey Association has developed a fundraising Committee to plan fundraising events throughout the season. All Fundraising money raised will go back to the organization and will be used for skill development.

In order to get all teams involved we have assigned each team with a different event to organize. Each team will work with the committee member assigned to the event as a Liaison to flow information to the Executive and from the executive. Please see below for the event, event date, event liaison, and the team(s) assigned to the event.

  – Liaison: Joanne Osborne, Atom A & B
• Wolf Day - Hockey day in Canada (February -TBD )
  – Liaison: Committee Bantam A & B
• Euchre Tournament (January 23, 2010)
  – Liaison: Christine Patterson, Peewee A & B

The list of events may change as our committee develops the plan for this year. Any changes and assignment of teams to events will be completed in the near future. Check back for details to come.

Every year we are aware that it is important to keep in touch with our members and assure them that we are using our limited resources to the best advantage for our kids learning, and skill development of the game.  Our focus has been aimed towards building from the basic skills up.  We seek out and bring in instructors who are able to provide for our kids, the type of training that they may not otherwise receive. 

It is our intention to continue on this path as it has seen vast improvements in our players. To put in perspective where and what we do with our fundraising dollars, our treasurer has provided the following breakdowns for the 2008-2009 hockey year.
